The Build Your Resources program offers varied, relevant, monthly resource workshops available to the entire community, regardless of income level. Subjects will include many of the resources identified for success in the Getting Ahead program such as:

  • Motivation
  • Physical
  • Relationships

  • Support system

Workshops Scheduled

  • October 18, 6-8 PM
    Overdose Response Training by the Frederick County Health Department. Learn the signs and steps needed to prevent and identify opioid overdose.
  • October 24, 1:30-3 PM  A DePaul Dental Health Club kick-off session to explain this new feature of our adult dental program will be held presented by Sister Roberta Treppa and Dr. Levy & Associates. Adult participants will learn about the benefits of joining the Club aimed at providing the resources needed to improve their dental health and help prevent serious illness.   • November 8, from 4:30-7 PM
    Credit Cafe by Interfaith Housing. Click here to see more details. Receive a free credit score, a 1/2-hour credit counseling appointment and attend a Master Your Credit Workshop. FOR THIS EVENT, you MUST make an appointment to attend.
  • November 15, from 5:30-7 PM
    Personal Boundaries and Healthy Communication by Sherry McClurkin, LCPC of Salt & Light Counseling. Learn effective communication techniques and how to set healthy, personal boundaries, especially in intimate relationships.
  • December 5, from 5-8 PM – Children Are Welcome!
    Building Family Holiday Traditions  Make a Christmas ornament with your family and hear a short presentation on  affordable ways to make holiday memories together. Refreshments and FREE family holiday portraits will be offered.
  • December 12, from 5-7 PM
    Healthy Holiday Eating
    Gain nutrition info, food preparation tips and recipes to make your holiday celebrations healthy, yummy and guilt-free.
